Industry-leading modular building specialist, Premier Modular, excelled at the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Awards 2023 in London in May after it was named the winner of three prestigious awards.
Premier Modular took home the accolades for Manufacturer of the Year, Project of the Year and Use of MMC Construction Methods in Temporary Accommodation.
Sister company Net Zero Buildings, also received a highly commended certificate for Consideration of Net Zero using MMC Construction.
Premier Modular was successfully awarded Project of the Year for its delivery of a 3,450m2 building for the major teaching facility and trauma centre, King’s College Hospital.
The four-storey development is the company’s largest healthcare development to date and has significantly improved patient capacity. The four new floors comprise: 48 purpose-designed consultation rooms, eight procedure rooms for a range of services from dermatology to pain management as well as a double-height airy atrium.
Premier Modular won the Temporary Accommodation accolade for Douay Martyrs Catholic School’s 36 bespoke modules. Net Zero Buildings won the Consideration of Net Zero certificate for Treetops Free School, the government’s first carbon pathfinder scheme.
David Harris, CEO of Premier Modular Group, said: “What an honour it is to receive not one but four prestigious accolades. The whole Premier team thanks the judges for recognising the challenges we’ve overcome – for both our clients and those of our own in achieving operational excellence. These awards also show how we’re changing the way buildings are constructed for the better – for generations to come – and why we were the first non-financial company in Europe to achieve ESG certification.”
