Purpose:
QC Inspection Manager
To Manage a team of inspectors to ensure compliance and the capture of relevant pictorial evidence to satisfy clients that the product complies to the latest standards.
To check that units are assembled as specified in technical standards and to complete annual or potential new supplier audits.
RWC (Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator)
To ensure that Premier Modular Ltd are compliant regarding 1090 welding processes & procedures. Completing annual 1090 audits
Experience, Qualifications & Training:
QC Inspection Manager
- Knowledge of the industry, preferably time served.
- A quality related qualification
- Product knowledge
- Ability to read & understand technical drawings.
- Understanding of materials & building methods used within Premiers build process.
RWC (Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator)
- General welding knowledge
- RWC certification (Basic Level) EXC 2
- Visual weld inspection certification
- Understanding of materials & processes used within our build process.
- Internal auditor certification.
Principle accountabilities:
QC Inspection Manager
- To check build process during production to ensure technical standard specifications are met.
- To raise Non-Conformance Reports where deviation to Technical Standards is found and monitor through to resolution stage.
- To evaluate production materials where specified.
- To complete supplier visits when requested.
- To advise on quality of finish and to compete random quality checks during assembly of units at Brandesburton production units.
- To complete installation inspections at project site to check compliance to technical installation standards and to report findings.
- Compile and interrogate stats on quality noncompliance issues.
- To Manage a small team of Quality Control inspectors re daily workload & output.
- Set team and individual KPI’s, carry out team performance appraisals and 1 to 1 enhancements
- To work closely with both design teams to ensure info issued to production is both appropriate and accurate.
- To oversee & track the FIRAS certification.
- To oversee & track Premiers OTIF procedure
- To produce and deliver monthly Quality reviews to Cell leaders and Managers.
- To produce bespoke Travelling documents regarding Permanent Space projects
RWC (Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator)
- To ensure all welding requirements are covered with individual “Welding Procedure Specifications”.
- Review any new welding requirements identified by the Technical Review.
- If any new welding requirements are identified to ensure weld qualifications are produced and signed off, then weld specifications are produced.
- When any new welding is introduced all welding personnel are trained and qualified prior to performing these within production.
- Any new welding procedures to be record within the welding manual in within the FPC.
- Review welding personnel every six months.
- Sign the welders off as operational every six months.
- Arrange welder re-test.
- Ensure essential welding parameters are set and adhered to within production.
- Conduct external audits with steel work suppliers.
- Conduct annual 1090 audit with our External RWC & TUV
